2026 Grand Design Travel Trailer
This was an entirely new experience for us and we could not be happier with the service and the beautiful travel trailer. Cheryl communicated beforehand so we knew exactly what to expect. They set it up quickly and explained everything these old first timers needed to know to enjoy our time. The trailer is spacious, comfortable and immaculate, it is well equipped with everything we needed. Everything worked perfectly. We spent each evening in the heated massaging recliner chairs to relax before crawling into the comfortable bed. The three couples we were with were envious of how nice our unit was. We may be ‘fighting’ with two of those couples to see who gets it next time. I would rate our experience a 10. Would recommend Chrryl without any hesitation

The RV was in good condition and clean. I was pleased with the owners attitude and would be willing to rent from him again for that area of the country. I returned the RV early due to weather conditions, not directly relating to any problems with the RV. I did discuss with the owner some minor issues that I'm sure he will look into before future rentals.

Trailer was exactly as described and worked well for our situation. Delivery person was awesome and answered our questions during initial setup. Delivery and pickup service was great especially since we have little experience pulling a trailer through hilly terrain.

Hobbs State Park Conservation Area has shaded sites with full hookups and access to 50+ miles of trails. When is the best time of year for a Lowell, AR RV trip?

The sweet spot for a Lowell RV trip is mid-April through early June and again from mid-September through late October, when daytime highs typically sit in the 65 to 80 F range and the Ozark hills show wildflowers or fall color. July and August are hot and humid, with highs often near 90 F, so you'll want a rig with strong air conditioning. Tip: time your visit for late October to catch peak foliage along the Pig Trail Scenic Byway, just south of Lowell.

What's a great RV road trip from Lowell, AR?

An RV road trip from Lowell, AR puts you in the heart of some of the best driving country in the Mid-South. Head about 50 miles northeast to Eureka Springs for Victorian charm and Beaver Lake views, or drive roughly 80 miles north to Branson, Missouri for live music and Table Rock Lake. Hot Springs National Park is a scenic 230-mile cruise south, while Buffalo National River, the country's first national river, is about 90 miles east near Ponca. For a longer haul, Memphis sits roughly 320 miles east via I-40. Insider pick: take Highway 23, the Pig Trail, for an unforgettable Ozark drive.

What kind of fuel economy and gas budget should I plan for?

Plan smart and fuel won't bust your budget. Travel trailers don't burn gas themselves but reduce your tow vehicle's mileage to roughly 10 to 14 MPG. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes 8 to 12 MPG, and big Class A coaches 6 to 10 MPG. Arkansas typically has some of the lowest gas prices in the country, often 30 to 50 cents below the national average, with plenty of stations along I-49 and US-71B in Lowell, Rogers, and Springdale. For a 300-mile weekend loop in a Class C, expect to spend roughly $90 to $130 on fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Lowell before heading into the hills, prices climb in smaller Ozark towns.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Lowell?

For the best sites, book early, but you have options either way. Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds around Beaver Lake (Prairie Creek, Lost Bridge, Rocky Branch, Horseshoe Bend) open reservations 6 months ahead on recreation.gov, and prime summer weekends fill quickly. Arkansas State Parks like Hobbs and Devil's Den are bookable through arkansasstateparks.com, also generally up to a year out. Private parks near Lowell often have more last-minute flexibility. Tip: for big Northwest Arkansas event weekends, lock in your campsite at least a few months early. Midweek arrivals almost always find space.

What are driving conditions like around Lowell, AR?

Driving an RV around Lowell is refreshingly manageable. I-49 runs right through town with wide lanes and gentle grades, making the Bentonville-Fayetteville corridor easy even for first-timers. The terrain gets hillier as you head east toward Beaver Lake or south on Highway 23 (the Pig Trail), with curves and 6 to 8% grades, so take it slow and use lower gears on descents. Spring brings strong thunderstorms and the occasional tornado watch from March to May, so check the forecast and avoid driving in severe weather. Watch for deer at dusk on rural roads. Insider tip: skip US-71B through downtown Springdale during weekday rush hour and stay on I-49, it's faster and far less stressful in a big rig.

What hookups and amenities will I find at campgrounds near Lowell?

Most campgrounds near Lowell offer the essentials and more. Army Corps sites at Beaver Lake (Prairie Creek, Lost Bridge North/South) typically provide 30/50-amp electric and water at the site, with central dump stations and potable water fills near the entrance. Hobbs State Park offers full hookup sites including sewer, plus hot showers and a dump station. Private parks like Greenwood Hollow and Wanderlust RV Park in Eureka Springs offer full hookups, Wi-Fi, and laundry. Need to dump or fill mid-trip? Most Pilot and Love's truck stops along I-49 have public dump access for a small fee. Pro tip: top off fresh water before leaving Lowell, some Ozark lake sites have water only at the spigot, not the pad.

You'll be surprised how complete a motorhome rental Lowell hosts provide really is. Most RVs on RVezy come fully equipped with a real bed or two, a kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, cookware, and dishes, plus a bathroom with toilet and shower in Class B campervans and larger. Many include roof or built-in air conditioning (a must for July humidity), furnace, a TV, and seatbelted seating for travel. Generators, solar, and Wi-Fi hotspots are common add-ons. Every RVezy listing shows exactly what's included with photos and an amenity list, and if you're after a campervan rental Lowell guests rave about, filter by Class B to see your options instantly.

What add-ons and pickup options can I expect when I rent an RV in Lowell, AR?

How do payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure: when you book on RVezy, you pay through the platform with a credit or debit card, never in cash directly to the host, which keeps the transaction protected. A refundable security deposit is held separately from the booking payment (typically a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the RV) and released after the trip once the rig is returned in the agreed condition, with fuel and tanks handled per the listing terms. To avoid any deposit issues on your Lowell RV trip, do a quick walkaround video at pickup and dropoff, follow the host's dump and fuel instructions, and return on time.

Where can I park or stay overnight in an RV in Lowell, AR?

You have real options for where to park an RV in Lowell, AR. Overnight parking on city streets generally isn't permitted, but some travelers in transit use retailer lots like Walmart or Cracker Barrel along I-49; always call ahead to confirm overnight permission. For full stays, head to Beaver Lake's Army Corps campgrounds, Hobbs State Park, or private parks in Eureka Springs and Fayetteville. Many RVezy hosts also offer delivery, so your RV can be set up and waiting at your chosen site. Tip: book Corps of Engineers lakefront sites months ahead for summer weekends.
