"Story" was a great RV and Joshua was an amazing host. This was our first time traveling in an RV and Joshua was very patient in answering all of our questions. He provided a very thorough orientation. The RV was fully equipped with everything we needed including kitchen/bath items, camping chairs, linens, etc. Everything was clean, well maintained, and exactly as described. We were able to boondock without any issues. Communication with Joshua was amazing and I highly recommend this rental.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Moundsville, West Virginia?

Good news, your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Moundsville. West Virginia does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special endorsement for personal-use motorhomes or travel trailers, no matter the size you'll find on RVezy. Approved drivers on RVezy are generally required to be at least 25 years old, and ID verification happens right inside the platform, so there's no paperwork to chase down. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home country's license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) and you're set. Most first-time renters tell us the sign-up is the easiest part of planning their West Virginia RV trip.

A weekend loop from Moundsville to Wheeling, Oglebay, and back is under 50 miles total, often less than $30 in fuel for most rigs. What are driving conditions like around Moundsville?

Driving around Moundsville is mostly relaxed and RV-friendly. WV-2 along the Ohio River and US-250 through town are wide, flat, and easy to handle even in a 30-foot Class C. Once you head east into the hills toward Cameron or south toward New Martinsville, expect winding two-lane roads with rolling grades, fun, but slow down and use lower gears. I-70 just north in Wheeling has the Wheeling Tunnel with height restrictions, so check your RV's height (most rentals are 11-12 feet) before routing through downtown. Winter can bring icy patches November through March. Pro tip: use the I-470 bypass if you're in a tall rig, it has easier grades and avoids the older Wheeling Tunnel.
