RV rental for the Neshoba County Fair: Roll into Mississippi's Giant Houseparty and live the cabin, porch and racetrack life for a week
Picture a week of porch swings, red clay harness races, country concerts and political stump speeches under old oaks. The Neshoba County Fair near Philadelphia, Mississippi, has drawn families back for more than a century, and an RV puts you right in the middle of it. Bring your own cool bed, kitchen and shade, settle in near the fairgrounds, and see why locals call it Mississippi's Giant Houseparty.
This is the second time I've rented from Timmy. The first time was so easy and communication was so great that I wanted a repeat experience, which is what I got. I'll be renting again in a couple of months.

I rented from Timmy because we needed additional space at a family gathering. My experience with Timmy was top-notch from beginning to end. When I arrived late at night my trailer was set up and ready for me. It was very clean and as pictured with everything working the way it should. When I needed to communicate, Timmy was easy to reach. For several nights of my one-week stay I was joined by 3 more family members. It worked perfectly for us but couldn't have managed another person comfortably. There is very limited storage space but I think that's true of all campers of this sort. I used the bed in the main bedroom which was very comfortable. My family enjoyed streaming on the TV. The temperature dropped below freezing for several days but the propane heat kept me comfy (although the water lines did freeze which I don't think could be avoided). I am very happy with my choice to rent this camper. It allowed me to stay on the property where the event was happening and not in a hotel 20 minutes away. Timmy was super easy to work with and very responsive. The trailer became a little home away from home. I plan on renting it again if we have another gathering.

Neshoba County Fairgrounds, MS, US
Philadelphia sits in east-central Mississippi, where Highway 16, Highway 15, Highway 19 and Highway 21 meet, which makes it an easy drive for an RV from several directions. If you are coming from the east or along Interstate 20, exit at Meridian and follow Highway 19 north for roughly 40 miles of mostly two-lane, rolling country road into Philadelphia. From Jackson and the west, many drivers take Highway 25 northeast toward Carthage and then pick up Highway 16 east into town, a route with wide shoulders and few tight turns. Once in Philadelphia, head southwest on Highway 21 for about 8 miles to the fairgrounds at 16800 Highway 21 South, and watch for fair traffic and signage as you approach the gates. Traffic slows considerably near opening day and on concert nights, so plan to arrive early in the day and fuel up in Philadelphia before heading out. If you are staying at a nearby RV park, consider unhooking or leaving the rig parked and driving a smaller vehicle to the gate, since parking around the cabin areas is limited and permit-controlled.
