Late spring through early fall, roughly May through September, is the most popular time to visit, with warm days, long daylight hours, and the full slate of seasonal attractions such as the outdoor waterpark, paddleboats, and trail rides in operation. June and August are peak family-travel months and campsites book well in advance around holiday weekends. Shoulder months like April, early May, and October offer cooler weather, fewer crowds, and good hiking conditions, though some seasonal activities may be closed. The park remains open year-round, and winter visitors enjoy the indoor aquatic center, lodge, and holiday light displays.

A small stocked lake offers paddleboats, kayak rentals, and shoreline fishing for bass, bluegill, and catfish. A Nebraska fishing permit is required for anglers 16 and older.
Guided horseback rides through park woodlands are offered seasonally at the park's riding stables. Reservations are recommended during peak summer weekends.
Family amenities include an 18-hole miniature golf course, an indoor activity center with crafts and games, and a driving range. These are concentrated near the main lodge area with nearby parking.
The park's central lodge houses a restaurant, gift shop, and gathering spaces. It serves as a convenient stop for RVers who want a meal without leaving the park.
A seasonal drive-through holiday lights display is typically offered in late fall and winter. RVs should check width and height notices at the entrance before driving the route.

It's was wonderful. They took care of set up and break down, the delivery fee is very much worth it if you don't have a truck. This made the trip stress free. Cute and comfortable, they had everything you could ask for. I would recommend and book again! Great communication, easy to work with 5 stars across the board!

Eugene T. Mahoney State Park, NE, United States
The park is located just off Interstate 80 near Ashland, Nebraska, with direct access from Exit 426. It sits roughly 30 miles southwest of downtown Omaha and about 35 miles northeast of Lincoln, each a drive of around 30 to 40 minutes in normal traffic. Interior park roads are paved, hilly, and winding with some tight turns and speed bumps, so large RVs should drive slowly and watch for low-clearance tree branches on secondary loops. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers is Eppley Airfield in Omaha, about a 35 to 45 minute drive east on I-80.
