Mid-June through early September is the best window, when the campground is open, days are warm, and the bay is comfortable for wading and paddling. July and August bring the warmest weather and the fullest slate of heritage programming at the Yeo House and Shipbuilding Museum, but also the busiest campsites. Early June and the first half of September are good shoulder-season choices for RVers who want cooler nights, fewer bugs, and easier site availability.

Tour the restored Victorian home of 19th century shipbuilder James Yeo Jr. and an adjacent museum interpreting PEI's wooden shipbuilding industry. The site sits steps from the campground with paved parking suitable for RVs and tow vehicles.
Stroll the park's waterfront trail along Malpeque Bay for views of the tidal flats, salt marsh, and former shipyard site. The level path is short and family friendly.
Watch for great blue herons, kingfishers, bald eagles, and migrating shorebirds along the Malpeque Bay foreshore. Morning and evening low tides are the most productive viewing times.
Spend time on the small sheltered beach where shallow, warm bay water is suitable for wading and sandcastle building. There are no lifeguards, so swimmers enter at their own risk.
Ride the quiet rural roads from Port Hill into the village of Tyne Valley, roughly 6 km away, for cafes, shops, and local seafood. The route is gently rolling and paved throughout.
Drive across the causeway to Lennox Island Mi'kmaq First Nation to visit the cultural centre, craft shops, and coastal trails. It is a short drive from Green Park and accessible to tow vehicles and smaller RVs.
Use the park's shaded picnic grounds, playground, and ball diamond for a relaxed afternoon between activities. These facilities are located near the day-use parking area with room for larger vehicles.
Great communication, nice, clean camper. Tyler was very friendly and accommodating, would definitely rent again!

All previous five star reviews are accurate! Kyle and Connie are lovely people who take the time to ensure you know how to operate all aspects of Sgt Meep. We are total newbies with lots of questions and Kyle patiently answered every one. The RV had absolutely everything we could need, including a spotless, well maintained interior. We are considering a future purchase and they took their time to answer so many additional questions that were totally unrelated to the rental. Good people with a fabulous RV. Thanks for sharing Sgt. Meep with us. Heather & Dave

We truly enjoyed renting Vincent's RV for six nights. It was equipped well beyond our needs. They (Vincent and his lovely wife) thought of everything. We highly recommend their RV for couples, families or individuals who want to experience the beauty of our country in a relaxing nature. Also, for those concerned with never operating an RV... don't worry. The RV is very easy to drive and Vincent does an excellent job explaining how to operate the RV. If you have a question, he is only a friendly call away. We plan to rent the RV again.

Green Park Provincial Park, PE, Canada
The park is in Port Hill on Route 12, about a 10 minute drive from Tyne Valley and roughly 75 km (about an hour) northwest of Charlottetown via Highway 2. Summerside is the closest city, approximately 40 km south, and the nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travellers is Charlottetown (YYG). RV access is straightforward on paved secondary roads with no mountain grades or tunnels, but note that the Confederation Bridge from New Brunswick has wind restrictions for high-profile vehicles and collects a toll on westbound exit from PEI.
