This 1.1 km interpretive loop showcases the boreal forest ecosystem with well-maintained paths. The trail starts from the campground area and is accessible for a short, easy walk offering insights into regional vegetation.
Hilliard's Bay features some of the best sand beaches in northwestern Alberta. Enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and water activities directly from the campground area on Lesser Slave Lake.
Lesser Slave Lake offers excellent fishing for northern pike, walleye, yellow perch, and lake whitefish. Fish from the shore near the campground or charter a boat from the boat launch.
