Best time to visit Kiser Lake State Park

Late May through early October offers the most reliable conditions for RV travel, with warm days, open campgrounds, and full access to swimming, sailing, and paddling on the lake. July and August are the busiest months, so weekend sites fill quickly and reservations are recommended. September and early October bring cooler nights, fewer crowds, and fall color in the surrounding hardwoods, making the shoulder season attractive for RVers. Winter visits are possible for day use, but campground services and water systems may be limited or shut off during freezing months.
