Early to mid May is peak for the Biggest Week in American Birding along the western Lake Erie marshes, so book RV sites well in advance. September and October bring cooler nights, smaller crowds, and good fall fishing, while winter visits are quiet and best suited to day use due to lake-effect cold and wind off Lake Erie.
