Missinaibi Provincial Park, CA, United States
Missinaibi Provincial Park is accessed via an 80-kilometer gravel logging road north of Chapleau, Ontario. The drive from Chapleau takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on road conditions. Larger RVs may find the gravel road challenging, especially after heavy rain when washouts can occur. Watch for logging truck traffic. Sault Ste. Marie Airport, approximately 311 kilometers south, is the nearest major airport for fly-and-rent options.
July and early August offer the warmest temperatures (averaging 23°C / 73°F) and best conditions for water activities. June and September are shoulder months with milder crowds and comfortable weather, though September sees increased rainfall. The park operates from mid-May through mid-September. Winter months are not accessible, as the park closes in October and does not reopen until mid-May.
