How to get to Navarro River Redwoods State Park

The park is located on Highway 128, approximately two miles east of the Highway 1 junction, near the small town of Elk in Mendocino County. From San Francisco, take Highway 101 north to Highway 128 west toward the coast, a drive of approximately three to four hours. The nearest airport is Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS), about 75 miles south. Highway 128 is a narrow, winding mountain road with many scenic turnouts; plan extra drive time for this route. The park accommodates RVs up to 30 feet long, though not all campsites fit the maximum length.
