Late May through early October is the prime window, when the swimming pool, marina, and boat rentals are open and lake temperatures support paddling and fishing. June and September deliver the best mix of warm weather and lighter weekday crowds, while July and August draw the largest summer crowds and fill lakeside parking lots early. Fall brings excellent foliage along the trails and shoreline through mid to late October. Winter visits are quieter and good for ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and hiking when conditions allow, though water amenities are closed.

Lake Nockamixon is a 1,450-acre reservoir open to sailboats, motorboats, kayaks, and canoes with a 20-horsepower limit. Four public launches and the Nockamixon Marina on the north shore offer seasonal rentals and trailer-friendly parking.
Lake Nockamixon is a warmwater fishery stocked and managed by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, with largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, muskellunge, striped bass hybrids, and panfish. Shoreline access and fishing piers are available near the marina and day-use areas.
The park has over 20 miles of trails open to hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding depending on the segment. The Sobers Run and Old Mill trails offer easy to moderate loops through hardwood forest with lake views.
A popular singletrack network south of the lake draws mountain bikers of all levels. Parking is available at the Three Mile Run trailhead with room for trucks and trailers.
The park operates a seasonal outdoor swimming pool complex with a main pool, wading pool, and waterslide rather than a swim beach. It typically runs from mid-June through Labor Day and sits adjacent to large paved parking.
An 18-hole disc golf course winds through woods and open meadows near the day-use area. The course is free to play and has dedicated parking that accommodates larger vehicles.
Nockamixon offers designated bridle trails and a horse trailer staging area for riders bringing their own horses. The staging lot provides turnaround room suitable for trucks with trailers.
Tohickon Creek flows from Lake Nockamixon toward the Delaware River and passes through nearby Ralph Stover State Park, known for the High Rocks overlook. It makes an easy day-trip pairing with Nockamixon for hikers and paddlers.

From the start of booking to the finish of our trip, Steven was so helpful and explained into details on how to make our drive smooth. Would highly recommend anyone to book this RV, Jackie was so fun we hope to be able to rent again!

Great weekend getaway!

Great vehicle and friendly owners. This compact camper has a lot of creature comforts while allowing one to maneuver and park in regular parking lots. The van is really easy to drive and handles really nice. The beds were comfortable and IMO accommodate 2 adults (top bed) and 1 adult or 2 kids in the lower bed. We were able to use the bike rack, too, and that worked great for a road bike and mountain bike (I think 2 mountain bikes might not fit unless the handle bars were turned on 1 of them). We didn't use the, generator, heater, hot water, shower, sink, microwave or toilet so I can't comment on them but I wish we rented it longer so we could've taken advantage of all this van has to offer. We would absolutely rent again.

Nockamixon State Park, PA, United States
The park sits about 5 miles east of Quakertown off PA Route 563 and is roughly a 1 hour and 15 minute drive (45 miles) from Philadelphia via I-476 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension. Allentown and the Lehigh Valley are about 30 miles north, and New York City is roughly 75 miles to the northeast. RV drivers should note that the final approach on PA 563 and surrounding Bucks County roads is rural, winding, and hilly with narrow shoulders, and nearby River Road (PA 32) along the Delaware has low clearances and tight curves that are not recommended for larger rigs. The closest major fly-and-rent hubs are Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) near Allentown.
