Best time to visit Paris Mountain State Park

April through June and September through early November are the most comfortable months for RV travel, with mild temperatures, lower humidity, and vivid spring or fall foliage. Summer brings warm, humid weather and the busiest campground weekends, so reservations should be made well in advance. Winter is mild but occasionally freezing, and some trails can be muddy after rain. Shoulder seasons typically offer quieter campsites and easier access to trailhead parking.

This was an incredible camping experience! It was the ideal way to camp, as we had always used tents before. It was fantastic that the RV was delivered and ready to use! There was ample space for my family to enjoy the room without feeling cramped. A big storm rolled in, and it was a great place to come together and use the appliances inside to cook dinner and watch a movie as a family. I highly recommend this rental for anyone seeking a great camping stay, and for anyone who has always wanted to try out the RV experience!

How to get to Paris Mountain State Park

The park sits about 6 miles north of downtown Greenville, roughly a 15-minute drive via State Highway 253. Charlotte, North Carolina is about 100 miles northeast (about 2 hours), Atlanta is about 150 miles southwest (roughly 2.5 hours), and Asheville is about 60 miles north (just over 1 hour). The closest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP), about 30 minutes away. RV drivers should note that the park entrance road is winding with steep grades and tight turns, so larger rigs should approach slowly and verify site length before booking.
