Petroglyphs Provincial Park, United States
Petroglyphs Provincial Park is 55 kilometers northeast of Peterborough, Ontario, approximately 45 minutes by car via Highway 28 north and County Road 56. The park is about 2 hours from Toronto (192 km). Toronto Pearson International Airport is the nearest major airport for fly-and-rent service, located approximately 2 hours away. As a day-use only facility, RV renters should plan for partial-day visits and stay overnight at nearby accommodations in Peterborough or surrounding communities.
The park operates mid-May through mid-October, with the best months for visiting being late July through September when conditions are ideal for hiking and insect activity is lower. These months offer stable summer weather and comfortable evening temperatures. Shoulder-season visitors (May-June and September-October) enjoy quieter trails and fewer crowds, though late spring can bring higher insect populations. Weekday visits are recommended to avoid weekend traffic.

I have rented this trailer before and it doesn’t disappoint! Linda & Kevin are great hosts. A clean, and beautiful trailer. I highly recommend renting from them. Even with Linda having broken her ankle they managed to get the trailer to the location on time, and such easy going friendly people. Always messaging back right away whenever I asked a question and very helpful. If you’re looking for reliable, trustworthy people to book with, these are your people!
