How to get to Sunset State Beach

From Highway 1, take the San Andreas Road exit and head south to Sunset Beach Road, then west to the park entrance. Santa Cruz is 16 miles north (30 minutes drive), while Monterey Regional Airport is 24 miles south (40 minutes). San Jose International Airport is approximately 50 miles north (1 hour drive). Highway 1 provides straightforward access; the final approach road is paved and suitable for RVs up to 31 feet.
