Tugaloo State Park is off GA-328, reached via exit 173 on Interstate 85, about 7 miles from Lavonia. It is roughly 100 miles (about 1 hour 45 minutes) northeast of Atlanta and about 45 miles (1 hour) from Greenville, South Carolina. The access roads are paved and generally RV-friendly with no major tunnels or steep mountain passes, though the final approach includes rolling hills and tight turns near the peninsula entrance. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP), with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) as a larger alternative.
