Campgrounds and RV parks near Lac la Biche County, AB

Lac la Biche County sits in east-central Alberta about 200 km northeast of Edmonton, in the boreal forest and lake country surrounding Lac la Biche Lake. The area is built for water-based camping, with dozens of lakes, sandy beaches, and old-growth mixed-wood forest within a short drive of the hamlet of Lac La Biche. Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park is the marquee destination, occupying islands in the east basin of Lac la Biche Lake and reached by a causeway from the community. Beaver Lake Provincial Recreational Area sits near the hamlet, while Plamondon Whitesands Resort offers full-service RV sites on the lake's west shore. South and east of town, North Buck Lake Recreational Area and Ironwood Lake - Lakeland Provincial Recreational Area open up quieter, more rustic camping inside the larger Lakeland Provincial Park and Recreation Area complex.
