Campgrounds and RV parks near Peace River D, BC

Peace River D is an electoral area within the Peace River Regional District in northeastern British Columbia, surrounding the city of Dawson Creek at the official start of the Alaska Highway. The landscape is boreal plateau country: rolling farmland, aspen and spruce forest, and river valleys carved by the Kiskatinaw, Pouce Coupe, and Peace rivers. RV travellers typically use the area as a base for Alaska Highway trips or as a stop between Alberta and northern BC. Hookup sites at these parks tend to sell out first during Alaska Highway travel season, so reserving several weeks ahead is recommended for July and August arrivals.
