Campgrounds and RV parks near Dufferin, MB

The Rural Municipality of Dufferin sits in south-central Manitoba, in the Pembina Valley region, with the town of Carman near its centre. The area is surrounded by prairie farmland, and the Boyne River passes through Carman. RV travellers use Dufferin as a base for lake recreation, small-town stops, and cross-province road trips on Highway 3 and the Trans-Canada corridor to the north. The closest full-service option is Stephenfield Provincial Park, located roughly 23 km west of Carman on PR 245 beside the Boyne River. To the south, Colert Beach at Lake Minnewasta near Morden and Winkler Tourist Park serve the Twin Cities area. North of Dufferin, Miller's Camping Resort sits near Portage la Prairie and is a common overnight for travellers moving east or west. Expect flat prairie terrain, reservoir and small-lake swimming, and a mix of municipal, provincial, and private campgrounds. Most parks in this region operate seasonally from spring through fall.

Stephenfield Provincial Park uses the Manitoba Parks Reservation Service. Reservations open at 7am online at manitobaparks.com and by phone at 1-888-482-2267 (toll-free) or 204-948-3333, with in-person booking available from 8:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday at 1181 Portage Ave. in Winnipeg. The province uses a staggered five-day rollout: cabins, yurts and group-use areas first, then Birds Hill, Winnipeg Beach and Grand Beach, then Whiteshell, then the northern and western regions, with Stephenfield in the final group of remaining campgrounds. A cancellation fee applies to reservations cancelled four or more days before arrival, and reservations cancelled within three days or less of arrival are charged one night's camping fee. Colert Beach uses the City of Morden's online booking portal, and Miller's Camping Resort and Winkler Tourist Park take reservations directly by phone or through their websites.
