Campgrounds and RV parks near Glenboro-South Cypress, MB

Glenboro-South Cypress sits in southwestern Manitoba along Highway 2, about 80 kilometres southeast of Brandon and roughly 180 kilometres west of Winnipeg. The municipality is best known as the doorstep to Spruce Woods Provincial Park, a 269-square-kilometre reserve of spruce parkland, mixed-grass prairie, and the sand dunes known as the Spirit Sands. RVers have several options in the area. Kiche Manitou - Spruce Woods Provincial Park is the main provincial campground inside the park, with basic and electrical sites, group areas, and yurts near Kiche Manitou Lake and the Assiniboine River. Nearby private options include Forest Hills RV Park and Cabins, Pelican Shores RV Park, and Dusty Mile Outfitters, plus Keeshkeemaquah Campground and RV Park operated on Long Plain First Nation land. The town of Glenboro itself is a small service centre with fuel, groceries, and Sara the Camel, a statue that references the desert-like landscape a few minutes north. Most travellers use Glenboro as a supply stop while basing their RV at a nearby campground.

Kiche Manitou - Spruce Woods Provincial Park is reserved through the Manitoba Parks Reservation Service at manitobaparks.com or by phone at 1-888-482-2267 (204-948-3333 in Winnipeg). The service opens each spring on staggered launch days, with Kiche Manitou campsites released together with other western-region campgrounds. Cabins, yurts, and group-use areas open on the first launch day, ahead of most campsite launches. A new availability notification feature lets account holders set alerts on target sites that are already booked. A Park Vehicle Permit is required year-round in provincial parks and can be purchased ahead of time online or at park gates. A cancellation fee applies to reservations cancelled four or more days before arrival, and long-weekend bookings require a two-night minimum that includes a Saturday and a Sunday. Private parks such as Forest Hills RV Park and Cabins, Pelican Shores RV Park, Dusty Mile Outfitters, and Keeshkeemaquah Campground and RV Park are booked directly with each operator by phone or through their own websites.
