Campgrounds and RV parks near Sifton, MB

Sifton is a rural municipality in southwestern Manitoba's Westman region, encompassing the Oak Lake area roughly between Brandon and Virden south of the Trans-Canada corridor. The surrounding prairie and aspen parkland is dotted with lakes, reservoirs, and river valleys that anchor most of the area's campgrounds, making it a practical base for RV travellers crossing the prairies or planning a lake-focused family week. The closest options cluster around Oak Lake and the Little Saskatchewan River. Four Season's Island Resort Grocery and Creemee and Oak Island Resort Campground sit on Oak Lake, a broad prairie lake with a marina, beach, and full-service sites. Aspen Grove Campground offers a quieter alternative nearby, while Virden Lions Park Campground provides an easy in-town stop just off Highway 1. For a provincial-park experience, Rivers Provincial Park lies about an hour northeast on Lake Wahtopanah, a reservoir formed by damming the Little Saskatchewan River, with a swimming beach, boat launch, and serviced campground.

Provincial and private parks use different systems. Manitoba Parks handles Rivers Provincial Park through its central Parks Reservation Service, bookable online at manitobaparks.com or by phone. Manitoba Parks uses staggered opening dates each spring, with the reservation service accepting bookings in five phases beginning in early April, and western-region parks including Rivers opening on a specific dedicated day. Peak dates for holiday weekends are often gone within minutes of that opening. Private campgrounds including Oak Island Resort Campground and Four Season's Island Resort Grocery and Creemee book directly through their operators, with both seasonal and nightly sites available. Virden Lions Park Campground and Aspen Grove Campground are also booked with the operator rather than through the provincial system. Reserve long weekends and July dates several weeks ahead.
