Campgrounds and RV parks near Ste. Rose, MB

Ste. Rose du Lac sits in Manitoba's Parkland region between Lake Dauphin and Lake Manitoba, roughly a three hour drive northwest of Winnipeg, with Riding Mountain National Park to the south and Manipogo Provincial Park to the northeast on Lake Manitoba. That geography puts RV travellers within short driving range of a mix of provincial park beach campgrounds, national park sites in the boreal uplands, and a private RV park just outside the national park gate. The closest options include Rainbow Beach Provincial Park near Dauphin, which has both spacious and private campsites suited to quiet family stays, and Manipogo Provincial Park on the west shore of Lake Manitoba, where the aquamarine colour of the lake sets the campground apart. To the south, Whirlpool Lake Campground and Onanole RV Park and Campground put campers close to the trails and townsite of Riding Mountain National Park. For travellers heading further north, North Steeprock Lake Provincial Park in the Porcupine Hills area offers a more remote, rustic base. Together these campgrounds cover a wide range of hookup levels, from electric RV sites to unserviced boreal-forest camping.

Manitoba's provincial parks, including Rainbow Beach, Manipogo and North Steeprock Lake, are booked through the Manitoba Parks Reservation Service at manitobaparks.com or 1-888-482-2267, with 1-204-948-3333 for callers outside North America. Manitoba Parks opens 2026 campground reservations on April 13, using a staggered launch date approach spread over five days, and popular sites for long weekends fill quickly. Riding Mountain National Park uses the Parks Canada reservation system for oTENTiks, micrOcubes, yurts, group camping and backcountry camping, while campsites at Lake Audy, Moon Lake and Whirlpool Lake are assigned by self-registration on a first-come, first-serve basis.
