Campgrounds and RV parks near Grenville, QC

Grenville sits on the north bank of the Ottawa River in Quebec's Argenteuil region, roughly midway between Montreal and Ottawa along Route 148 and Highway 50. The area suits RV travelers because it puts riverside camping, provincial parks, and town amenities within a short drive of each other. The closest options span both sides of the river. L Original Campground and Camping Trans-canadien serve travelers staying on the Quebec side near Grenville and Hawkesbury. Cedar Shade Campground and Evergreen Camping Resort offer private-park amenities suited to families with longer stays. Across the river in Ontario, Voyageur Provincial Park anchors the area as the largest public campground, with hundreds of sites stretched along the Ottawa River shoreline. Most private parks in the area run seasonally from spring through fall, while Voyageur Provincial Park reopens its Champlain Campground in winter for cross-country skiing. Hawkesbury, just across the bridge, provides groceries, hardware, and supply runs without a long detour from any of these campgrounds.

Ontario and Quebec use separate reservation systems, so the booking window depends on which side of the river the campground sits on. For Voyageur Provincial Park, reservations go through the Ontario Parks system. Ontario provincial parks accept reservations up to five months in advance of the arrival date, with the booking window opening at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Bookings can be made online at reservations.ontarioparks.ca or by phone. Quebec's provincial parks use the SEPAQ reservation system on a similar advance window. Private campgrounds near Grenville, including L Original Campground, Cedar Shade Campground, Camping Trans-canadien, and Evergreen Camping Resort, book directly through their own websites or by phone. For long weekends, July, and early August, reserve as soon as the booking window opens, and check for cancellations weekly if a date is already full.
