Campgrounds and RV parks near Kiamika, QC

Kiamika is a small municipality in the Hautes-Laurentides region of Quebec, set on the doorstep of two large protected areas that draw most RV traffic to this corner of the province. Immediately south, Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle straddles the Outaouais and Laurentides regions and is the most southerly wildlife reserve in Québec, home to large white-tailed deer, moose, and beaver populations. To the east, Parc régional Kiamika protects a 184 km² territory built around a reservoir with about forty islands and islets, plus a biodiversity reserve containing trees over 200 years old. RV travellers typically base themselves at one of the lakeside campgrounds along access roads off Route 309 or near the reservoir. Options range from rustic sites at Lac Joinville - Papineau Labelle Reserve to fully serviced family camping at Centre touristique du Lac-Simon - SEPAQ. Tarmigan Camping, Camping Au Petit Lac Simon, and Camping Chutes aux Iroquois fill in smaller, lake-focused alternatives within easy driving distance.

SEPAQ-operated sites, including Lac Joinville - Papineau Labelle Reserve and Centre touristique du Lac-Simon - SEPAQ, are reserved through the central SEPAQ reservation system online or by phone. Sites at Lac Joinville and Lac Écho offer a fishing-camping package that bundles campsite, boat, and fishing access rights. Hunters must purchase their right of access online or at a registration centre. Parc régional Kiamika takes bookings through its own platform at reservoirkiamika.org, with canoes and kayaks reserved separately on a daily basis. Privately run options such as Tarmigan Camping, Camping Au Petit Lac Simon, and Camping Chutes aux Iroquois are booked directly with the operator. Summer weekends in July and August fill earliest, so reserving several weeks ahead is advisable.
