Campgrounds and RV parks near Lac-Saguay, QC

Lac-Saguay is a small municipality in the Antoine-Labelle region of the Laurentides, north of Mont-Laurier along Route 117. The area sits in lake-and-forest country that connects the upper Laurentians to the Outaouais, putting RV travellers within easy reach of two large Sépaq wildlife reserves and several private campgrounds along the Rouge River corridor. To the south and west, Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle straddles the Outaouais and Laurentides regions and is the most southerly wildlife reserve in Québec, with rustic and serviced sites at Lac Joinville - Papineau Labelle Reserve. To the east, Réserve faunique Rouge-Matawin offers vehicle-accessible camping at Lac des Sucreries - Rouge Matawin Reserve, in deep forest north of Mont-Tremblant. Family-oriented private parks include Camping Chutes aux Iroquois on the Rouge River near Labelle and Camping Au Petit Lac Simon near Saint-André-Avellin. The full-service Centre touristique du Lac-Simon - SEPAQ rounds out the options for serviced RV sites.

Sites at Lac Joinville - Papineau Labelle Reserve, Lac des Sucreries - Rouge Matawin Reserve, and Centre touristique du Lac-Simon - SEPAQ are reserved through the Sépaq system online or by phone. Camping and ready-to-camp stays at Québec's wildlife reserves typically open for the following summer in late April or early May, while stays at the national parks and tourist establishments open in early November of the prior year. A virtual waiting room is used during peak openings to manage demand, and the full cost of the stay must be paid at the time of booking. Popular weekends in July and August fill quickly, so booking several months ahead is recommended. Camping Chutes aux Iroquois and Camping Au Petit Lac Simon are private campgrounds; reserve directly through the operator.
