Campgrounds and RV parks near Lac-Saint-Paul, QC

Lac-Saint-Paul sits in the Antoine-Labelle regional county of the Hautes-Laurentides, north of Mont-Laurier and east of the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve. The surrounding area is dominated by two large Sépaq wildlife reserves that hold most of the RV-accessible campgrounds: Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle to the south and Réserve faunique Rouge-Matawin to the east. Both straddle the Outaouais and Laurentides regions and offer lakeside sites accessed by long forest roads. Closest to the village, Lac Joinville - Papineau Labelle Reserve is a Sépaq tent-and-trailer campground on a sandy lakefront. Further south, Camping Chutes aux Iroquois sits on the Rouge River near Labelle and provides full-service RV sites. East of Lac-Saint-Paul, Lac des Sucreries - Rouge Matawin Reserve combines rustic and semi-serviced campsites with ready-to-camp tents. Tarmigan Camping and Camping Au Petit Lac Simon round out the area with private-sector options in the Petite-Nation. Roads into the reserves are gravel, so trailers and motorhomes should plan for slow approach speeds.

Sites inside Papineau-Labelle and Rouge-Matawin are reserved through Sépaq, either online at sepaq.com or by phone. The Pie IX reception point in Papineau-Labelle is permanently closed, though access to the reserve through that entrance is still possible. Sépaq launches the summer reservation calendar in late winter, and popular Joinville and Lac des Sucreries waterfront sites fill quickly once bookings open. A daily fishing or access right is required in addition to the campsite reservation. Camping Chutes aux Iroquois takes bookings online through the Camping Union network, with a minimum stay required in high season.
