Campgrounds and RV parks near Montagnac, QC

Montagnac is a small community in Quebec's Eastern Townships (Cantons-de-l'Est), located in the Memphremagog area roughly an hour southeast of Montreal by Autoroute 10. The village sits within easy reach of Mont-Orford and the lakes that define this region of rolling Appalachian foothills, farmland and forested hills. RV travellers use Montagnac as a quiet base for accessing Parc national du Mont-Orford, Lake Memphremagog and the town of Magog. The closest full-service campground is Camping Magog-Orford, with Domaine Parc Estrie | Camping VR et chalets Parkbridge and Camping Hatley also within a short drive. For provincial-park camping inside Mont-Orford itself, Lac Fraser - Mont Orford Provincial Park and Lac Stukely - Mont Orford Provincial Park are the two main sectors operated by Sépaq. Sites in this area range from serviced RV pads with 30-amp hookups to unserviced wooded sites and ready-to-camp units. Most campgrounds operate on a short May-through-October season, so trip planning needs to account for shoulder-season closures.

Sites inside Parc national du Mont-Orford, including Lac Fraser and Lac Stukely, are booked through Sépaq's reservation system at sepaq.com. Although called a national park, Mont-Orford is administered by Sépaq, so Parks Canada passes are not accepted and park entrance fees apply on a daily or annual basis, and the access right should be purchased before arrival. A two-night minimum stay applies for advance reservations, while one-night bookings are accepted only within 72 hours of arrival. Sépaq reservations open in mid-November for the following summer, and prime weekends fill early. Private campgrounds such as Camping Magog-Orford, Domaine Parc Estrie | Camping VR et chalets Parkbridge and Camping Hatley take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Summer weekends, holiday long weekends and the fall foliage window book out earliest.
