Campgrounds and RV parks near Notre-Dame-du-Laus, QC

Notre-Dame-du-Laus is a small village in the Laurentides region of Quebec, on the Lièvre River reservoir, roughly 150 kilometres northwest of Montreal and well-placed for RV trips that mix lakeside camping with backcountry wildlife reserves. The area sits next to the Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle, a large Sépaq-managed wildlife reserve straddling the Outaouais and Laurentides regions, which alone holds hundreds of lakes and several campgrounds. RV travellers typically base themselves at one of a handful of properties close to the village or within easy driving distance. Tarmigan Camping and Camping au bord de l eau sit closest to Notre-Dame-du-Laus itself. Lac Joinville - Papineau Labelle Reserve is inside the Sépaq wildlife reserve to the west. Centre touristique du Lac-Simon - SEPAQ and Camping Au Petit Lac Simon are larger lake-based options to the south, near Duhamel in the Outaouais. Together they cover the range from rustic lakeside pads to full-service family campgrounds with beaches and ready-to-camp units.

Sites managed by Sépaq, including Lac Joinville inside Papineau-Labelle and Centre touristique du Lac-Simon, are booked through the Sépaq reservation system online or by phone. Booking windows open well in advance: Sépaq opens summer reservations for its national parks and tourist establishments, which include Centre touristique du Lac-Simon, in early November of the prior year, while camping and ready-to-camp stays at Quebec's wildlife reserves open separately, in late April or early May of the prior season. A virtual waiting room is used at the launch of each booking window to manage demand, with priority ranks assigned among users connected at the slot opening. Popular lakeside and serviced sites go quickly, so book as soon as the window opens. Private campgrounds near the village, including Tarmigan Camping and Camping au bord de l eau, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone.
