Campgrounds and RV parks near Packington, QC

The municipal beach on Lac Méruimticook offers swimming with excellent water quality, plus canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard rentals and a restaurant terrace overlooking the lake. A 28-kilometre cycling and walking circuit runs from the village. Lac Témiscouata, a short drive north, is a paddling destination with kayak rentals and a long sandy shore, and the Petit Témis linear park provides over 60 kilometres of rail-trail cycling between Rivière-du-Loup and Edmundston. Across the border, Provincial Park de la Republique has hiking and cycling trails, volleyball and tennis courts, a heated swimming pool, a boat ramp, and the New Brunswick Botanical Garden on more than 8 hectares of the park's grounds. Hiking trails at Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata, west of Packington, add another full day of outdoor activity for families.

The Témiscouata region has a short, intense camping season. Winter closes most campgrounds entirely, though snowmobile and cross-country ski trails operate across the region from December through March.
