Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Aimé-du-Lac-des-Îles, QC

Saint-Aimé-du-Lac-des-Îles is a small lakeside municipality in the Hautes-Laurentides region of Quebec, north of Mont-Laurier and roughly midway between Gatineau and Mont-Tremblant. The surrounding area is dotted with deep, clean lakes and large tracts of public forest, and it sits within easy reach of two major Sépaq-managed territories that draw RV travellers: Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle to the south and Centre touristique du Lac-Simon further southwest in the Outaouais. For renters arriving with a motorhome or trailer, the area offers a mix of private waterfront campgrounds and government-run sites. Tarmigan Camping and Camping au bord de l eau cater to short-stay and family campers close to the village. Lac Joinville - Papineau Labelle Reserve and Centre touristique du Lac-Simon - SEPAQ provide larger networks of lakeside sites inside protected wildlife territory, while Camping Au Petit Lac Simon adds another private option near Lac Simon itself.

Sites inside Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle and at Centre touristique du Lac-Simon are booked through Sépaq, either online at sepaq.com or by phone. Sépaq releases summer camping inventory months ahead, and popular waterfront sites at Lac Joinville and Lac Écho tend to go quickly once reservations open in late winter. On arrival, campers in Papineau-Labelle register at a staffed registration centre, with the Val-des-Bois entrance serving the Lac Écho sector and the Nominingue entrance serving Lac Joinville. Private campgrounds such as Tarmigan Camping, Camping Au Petit Lac Simon and Camping au bord de l eau are booked directly with the operator. Deposits are commonly required at the time of booking, and weekends in July and August should be reserved several weeks out.
