Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Albert, QC

Saint-Albert sits in the Arthabaska RCM of the Centre-du-Québec region, on the St. Lawrence lowlands between Victoriaville and Drummondville. Route 122 runs through the village, and Autoroute 955 connects north toward Trois-Rivières, making the area easy to reach by RV from Montreal or Quebec City in roughly two hours. The surrounding countryside is a mix of farmland, mixed forest, and small lakes that supports a cluster of family-run private campgrounds. Camping Lac Des Cypres sits on the shores of a lake in nearby Sainte-Séraphine and offers a sandy beach plus water slides, water games, kayaks, and pedal boats. Camping La Detente operates just outside Drummondville with more than 350 sites geared to seasonal and weekend RV stays, opening in May and closing at the end of September. Camping Mon Plaisir and Camping Lac Georges round out the closer options for shorter drives, while Camping Plage Mckenzie on Grand Lac Brompton in the Eastern Townships near Racine is a longer haul but offers one of the finest sandy beaches in the area with direct access to a 12-kilometre navigable lake.

The campgrounds near Saint-Albert are privately operated, not government-run, so each takes reservations directly through its own website or by phone. There is no central reservation portal like SEPAQ for these sites. Most operators are listed in the Camping Québec directory, which links out to each campground's own booking page. For summer weekends, booking eight to twelve weeks ahead is reasonable, and waterfront or full-service RV sites should be locked in earlier. Deposits are common, and cancellation windows vary by operator. At Camping Plage Mckenzie, for example, the site rate covers two adults and up to four children under 18, with additional visitors paying an entry fee at the gate, so confirm guest policies when booking a multi-family trip.
