Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Augustin-de-Woburn, QC

Saint-Augustin-de-Woburn is a small parish municipality in Quebec's Eastern Townships, sitting on the Canada-United States border at the Woburn-Coburn Gore crossing. It lies in Le Granit Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region. The area gives RV travellers access to two distinct camping landscapes: the lake-and-mountain country of the Mégantic region in Quebec, and the Chain of Ponds and Rangeley Lakes wilderness across the border in western Maine. Closest to the village, Natanis Point Campground sits on the Maine side of the border on Chain of Ponds Lake. Camping Baie Des Sables anchors the Lac-Mégantic shoreline to the northwest, while Mont Megantic Provincial Park, administered by Sépaq as Parc national du Mont-Mégantic, protects the high country to the west. Camping La Cedriere and the more remote Cupsuptic Campground round out the options for travellers willing to drive further into the Rangeley Lakes area. Mont-Mégantic sits at the heart of the world's first International Dark Sky Reserve, which shapes much of the night-time programming in the region.

Reservation systems vary by operator. Mont-Mégantic campsites are reserved online through the Sépaq website; the park is administered by Sépaq, a Quebec provincial body, so Parks Canada passes do not work here. Park entry fees apply in addition to camping fees. Camping Baie Des Sables takes reservations directly through its Station touristique website and by phone. On the Maine side, Natanis Point and Cupsuptic operate as independent campgrounds and prefer phone reservations. Natanis Point asks callers to use its landline at (207) 297-2694 and requires a 50 percent non-refundable deposit to secure a site, payable by credit card, debit card, or cheque. Cupsuptic Campground takes inquiries by phone or email through its operator. Book serviced and waterfront sites several months ahead for July and August.
