Saint-Gédéon sits in Quebec's Chaudière-Appalaches region along Route 173, south of Saint-Georges and north of the Armstrong-Jackman border crossing into Maine. The location makes the village a practical staging point for RV travellers combining a Beauce river-valley trip with a side excursion into Maine's North Woods. A short drive from the village, Camping Luciole is a family-oriented campground in Saint-Philibert, about 10 minutes from Saint-Georges, with spacious wooded sites, a swimming pool, water play area, hot tub, mini-golf, snack bar and laundry. North along Route du Président-Kennedy, Camping La Roche Dor in Notre-Dame-des-Pins is a family-oriented campground with around 300 sites plus activities and services including pétanque, badminton, pool, snack bar, common room and laundry. East toward Lac-Mégantic, Camping Baie Des Sables sits on the shores of Lac Mégantic with a sandy beach, marina, hiking trails, traditional and rustic campsites, plus ready-to-camp options.
