Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Jacques-de-Leeds, QC

Saint-Jacques-de-Leeds is a small village in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, roughly an hour south of Quebec City and within easy reach of Thetford Mines and the Eastern Townships. The village itself offers a small RV park and a tent area, which makes it a useful overnight stop for travelers passing through the Appalachian foothills. Most RV renters base themselves at private campgrounds in the surrounding countryside or at the nearby Sépaq-administered Parc national de Frontenac. Camping Soleil Inc sits just outside the village, while Camping Parc De La Chaudiere, Camping Domaine De La Chute and Camping Au Sous-Bois Du Campeur are scattered across the broader Chaudière-Appalaches area. For renters who want a provincial-park experience with lake access, Baie aux Rats Musques in Frontenac Provincial Park offers semi-serviced sites on Grand lac Saint-François, with odd-numbered sites located directly on the edge of the lake. The mix of private family campgrounds and a major Quebec national park gives renters flexible options for short stops or longer stays.

Booking varies by operator. Parc national de Frontenac is run by Sépaq, the Quebec provincial parks agency, and campsites are reserved online through the Sépaq website or by phone. Reservations for camping at Quebec's national parks for the following summer typically open in early November, and waterfront sites at Baie aux Rats Musques are claimed quickly once the window opens. Although it is called a national park, Frontenac is administered by Sépaq rather than Parks Canada, so Parks Canada passes are not valid; a separate park access fee applies and can be purchased as a daily ticket or an annual pass, with daily access available up to 30 days before a visit. Private campgrounds such as Camping Soleil Inc, Camping Parc De La Chaudiere, Camping Domaine De La Chute and Camping Au Sous-Bois Du Campeur take bookings directly through their own websites or by phone. Cycling-camping sites at Frontenac do not require advance reservations; cyclists register on arrival.
