Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Paul-de-Montminy, QC

Saint-Paul-de-Montminy is a small village in the Montmagny RCM of Quebec's Chaudière-Appalaches region, set in the Notre Dame Mountains, part of the Appalachian range. The village sits between two major outdoor draws for RV travellers: the Parc régional du Massif du Sud to the west and the Parc régional des Appalaches, a regional park in the Montmagny RCM that includes lakes, forests, rivers, marshes, peat bogs and mountains. RV-friendly campgrounds in the surrounding area span riverfront, lakeside and inland settings. Camping Pointe Aux Oies sits on the St. Lawrence in Montmagny, while Camping Lac-Etchemin and Camping Municipal Lac Frontiere are inland lake properties tied to the Etchemins and Appalaches park sectors. Camping Le Domaine Champetre lies northwest in Saint-Vallier de Bellechasse, and Camping Au Bonnet Rouge is east in the village of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. Together they cover full-service family parks, rustic park campsites, and small village campgrounds suitable for trailers and motorhomes.

Reservation systems vary by operator. Sépaq parks across Quebec use a single online platform for campsites, ready-to-camp units, cabins and activities, though the nearest Sépaq destinations are outside this immediate area. The Parc régional des Appalaches is run by a non-profit corporation, the Corporation du Parc des Appalaches, and takes campsite, shelter and cabin reservations directly through its own website, with online booking available year-round. Private parks such as Camping Pointe Aux Oies, Camping Lac-Etchemin, Camping Le Domaine Champetre and Camping Au Bonnet Rouge accept bookings on their own sites or by phone. For July and August weekends, booking six to eight weeks ahead is wise; for shoulder-season midweek stays, a few days' notice is usually enough. Camping Municipal Lac Frontiere is a small village-run park where calling ahead is the safest option.
