Campgrounds and RV parks near Sainte-Croix, QC

Sainte-Croix sits on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River in the Lotbinière area of the Chaudière-Appalaches region, roughly halfway between Quebec City and Trois-Rivières along Route 132. The village is a practical base for RV travellers who want river views, easy highway access via Autoroute 20, and a short drive to Quebec City attractions without staying inside the city itself. Private campgrounds dominate the surrounding countryside, with most properties operating seasonally between mid-May and mid-October. Camping Panoramique, Camping Lac Georges, Camping Domaine De La Chute, Camping Au Sous-Bois Du Campeur, and Camping Juneau Chalets are the closest options and cover the usual range of RV needs, from serviced pull-throughs to wooded sites and on-site chalets. Many sites in this corridor are held by seasonal renters, so transient RV availability varies week to week. The area also pairs well with day trips to the Domaine Joly-De Lotbinière estate and gardens on Pointe-Platon.

Private campgrounds in the Sainte-Croix area handle their own reservations directly by phone, email, or operator website, and most do not appear on the SÉPAQ provincial booking platform, which is reserved for Quebec's national parks and wildlife reserves. Book summer weekends and the late-July construction holiday several weeks in advance, particularly for serviced RV sites and waterfront pads. For shoulder-season weekdays in May, June, September, and October, walk-ins and short-notice bookings are usually possible. Confirm rig length, slide-out clearance, and hookup type when reserving, since older Quebec campgrounds often mix 15, 30, and 50-amp service across the same loop. Cancellation and deposit rules vary by operator, so request them in writing at the time of booking.
