Campgrounds and RV parks near Weedon, QC

Weedon sits in Quebec's Eastern Townships, on the Saint-François River corridor between Sherbrooke and Lac-Mégantic. The area's RV camping is anchored by Parc national de Frontenac, a Sépaq park spanning the Eastern Townships and Chaudière-Appalaches regions around Grand lac Saint-François. The park offers serviced and semi-serviced campsites, primitive sites, canoe-camping platforms and ready-to-camp units. Inside the park, RV travellers most often book Baie Sauvage in the southern sector or Baie aux Rats Musques in the Saint-Daniel sector. There is no single road linking the various sectors of the park, no water shuttle service is available, and travellers must use provincial highways to get from one sector to another, with about an hour of driving between them. Outside the Sépaq network, private campgrounds round out the options for RV renters. Camping Beau-Soleil is among the closest to the village itself, while Camping Coop Familiale Du Prevert and Camping La Cedriere give families more conventional serviced-site layouts. Together these properties cover everything from full-hookup pads to rustic lakeshore tenting.

Sites inside Parc national de Frontenac are reserved through Sépaq, the provincial parks agency. Sépaq opens camping and ready-to-camp reservations for the upcoming summer season in early November of the previous year, with time slots spread across two days to manage demand. At opening, a virtual waiting room is activated on the website, with priority ranks distributed randomly among users who connect a few minutes before each booking slot, after which a first-come, first-served principle applies. Daily park admission can be purchased up to 30 days in advance. Private campgrounds in the Weedon area, including Camping Beau-Soleil, Camping Coop Familiale Du Prevert and Camping La Cedriere, take direct bookings by phone or through their own websites.
