Campgrounds and RV parks near Assiniboine 76, SK

The Rural Municipality of Assiniboia No. 76 sits in south-central Saskatchewan within reach of the Qu'Appelle Valley, a glacial river valley cut through the surrounding prairie. RV travellers use it as a base for lake camping, since several of the closest campgrounds line the chain of valley lakes to the north and the Souris River system to the southeast. Campground options mix provincial parks, regional parks, and privately run RV parks. Echo Valley Provincial Park lies in the Qu'Appelle Valley between Echo and Pasqua Lakes, and Crooked Lake Provincial Park sits along Crooked Lake further east in the same valley. South Katepwa RV Park is located near Katepwa Lake, and Nickle Lake Regional Park sits on the shores of Nickle Lake and the Souris River near Weyburn. Comfort Plus Campground rounds out the nearby private options. Most sites are open only during the warm season, so trips are typically planned between spring thaw and early fall.

Provincial park campsites are reserved through the Saskatchewan Provincial Parks reservation system at parks.saskatchewan.ca. Nightly bookings for parks such as Echo Valley and Crooked Lake open on staggered launch dates in the spring, with reservations available for the current camping season. Group camping, recreation halls, and picnic shelters can be booked up to two camping seasons in advance. A valid vehicle entry permit is required in addition to the campsite reservation. Nickle Lake Regional Park takes bookings online through Campspot, with registration opening in early February each year. South Katepwa RV Park and Comfort Plus Campground are private operations, so book directly with the campground. For popular summer weekends, reserve well ahead since valley lakefront sites turn over quickly once launch day opens.
