The Rural Municipality of North Qu'Appelle No. 187 sits in south-central Saskatchewan and wraps around the town of Fort Qu'Appelle in the Qu'Appelle Valley. The area is anchored by Echo Valley Provincial Park, located west of Fort Qu'Appelle between Echo Lake and Pasqua Lake, inside the RM of North Qu'Appelle No. 187. Situated in the legendary Qu'Appelle Valley between Echo and Pasqua Lakes, Echo Valley Provincial Park offers scenic surroundings and numerous recreational opportunities, with two beaches and access to two lakes. The valley itself is a chain of glacial lakes strung along the Qu'Appelle River, and most RV camping in the area is built around lake access, beaches, and fishing. Echo Valley Provincial Park is the largest and best-serviced option nearby. Its Lakeview A loop has 22 electric RV sites with water taps, toilets, a nearby playground, a dump station, and garbage disposal, while the Aspen and Valleyview loops add showers, laundry, and larger pads suited to bigger rigs. Private and municipal options fill in around the lakes. South Katepwa RV Park sits on Katepwa Lake at the east end of the valley, and Comfort Plus Campground, Dyer Straits Campground and Cabins, and Lumsden Riverpark Campground extend the choices for travellers moving through the valley toward Regina.

Echo Valley Provincial Park is booked through the Saskatchewan Provincial Parks reservation system at parks.saskatchewan.ca. Reservations can be made up to two camping seasons in advance for group camping, recreation halls, and picnic shelters, while all other camping may only be reserved for the current camping season. For the 2026 season, seasonal campsite bookings begin April 13, with nightly, Camp-Easy yurt, and group campsite launches staggered from April 14 to 17. A valid vehicle entry permit is required for all vehicles in a provincial park; permits can be purchased in advance online or at the gate on arrival.
