Water activities anchor most trips. Attons Lake Regional Park has an unsupervised swimming area, a nine-hole grass-greens golf course with licensed clubhouse, ball diamonds, horseshoe pits, a pickle ball court and a boat launch. Motor boats are not allowed on the lake on Saturdays and Sundays, which suits paddlers and families with young swimmers. At The Battlefords Provincial Park, families can use two large beaches, hiking and biking trails, two 18-net disc golf courses, an 18-hole golf course at Jackfish Lodge Golf and Conference Centre, plus a store, minigolf and boat rental. Weekends around Canada Day, the Saskatchewan Day long weekend in early August, and the Labour Day long weekend fill first, especially electric loops at The Battlefords Provincial Park and Attons Lake Regional Park. Mosquitoes are heaviest in June after spring runoff; late August and early September tend to be drier and less buggy. Shoulder-season travellers should expect reduced services. Dillberry Lake day-use areas stay open year-round with roads plowed for ice-fishing access, but overnight camping infrastructure is limited outside the main season. Watch for wildfire advisories in dry summers; some Saskatchewan Parks campgrounds have remained closed following the 2025 wildfires in northern parks.

Sites in this area lean toward gravel pads with picnic tables and fire rings. Electric service is common; full hookups are less so. At Attons Lake Regional Park, 30, 20 and 15 amp and non-serviced campsites are available, most with water hook-up on site or nearby, washrooms are modern with free showers, non-serviced group camping is abundant, and there are no sites with sewer hookup, though a sewage disposal facility is on site. Eiling Kramer Campground is more RV-oriented, offering 36 full-service and 38 electrical sites, toilets, showers, a service centre and picnic areas with an enclosed picnic shelter available to rent. The Battlefords Provincial Park is the largest option, with 317 individual campsites, 291 of which are electrified, plus eight group campgrounds, all within walking distance of the lake, a store, showers, laundry, golf course and concession. Cell coverage is generally reliable near Unity and the Battlefords; expect weaker signal at Dillberry Lake.
