Campgrounds and RV parks near Midway, FL

Midway is an unincorporated community in Santa Rosa County on the Gulf Breeze peninsula, sitting between Pensacola Bay and East Bay along U.S. Highway 98. The location puts RV travelers within a short drive of Pensacola, Navarre Beach, Gulf Islands National Seashore, and the barrier-island beaches of the Florida Panhandle. RV parks in the immediate area lean toward full-hookup coastal resorts rather than rustic public campgrounds. Holley Navarre RV Park and Emerald Beach RV Park serve the Navarre side of the peninsula, while Santa Rosa RV Resort and Avalon Landing RV Park sit closer to the Midway corridor itself. Pensacola Beach RV Resort provides an option on the barrier island near Santa Rosa Sound. Public-land camping in the region is anchored by Fort Pickens Campground inside Gulf Islands National Seashore and Big Lagoon State Park west of Pensacola, both booked through separate agency systems. Most travelers use Midway as a base for beach days, fishing, and access to Naval Air Station Pensacola attractions.

Private RV parks in the area, including Holley Navarre RV Park, Santa Rosa RV Resort, Avalon Landing RV Park, Pensacola Beach RV Resort, and Emerald Beach RV Park, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Weekly and monthly rates are common, and winter snowbird stays are often reserved a season or more ahead. Fort Pickens Campground in Gulf Islands National Seashore is reserved through Recreation.gov, with a booking window that opens up to 6 months in advance. Big Lagoon State Park uses the Florida State Parks reservation system, with Florida residents able to book up to 11 months in advance and non-residents up to 10 months in advance. For holiday weekends, Blue Angels air-show dates, and spring break, book as early as the window allows. Cancellation fees apply on both state and federal systems.
