Campgrounds and RV parks near Arbon Valley, ID

Arbon Valley sits in a quiet agricultural basin in southeast Idaho, southwest of Pocatello and bordered by the Bannock Range to the east and the Deep Creek Mountains to the west. RV travelers typically use the valley as a low-traffic base and drive out to the Snake River corridor, American Falls Reservoir, and the Oregon Trail landmarks that line Interstate 86. The closest developed options are private RV parks and public campgrounds a short drive north and east. Batiste Springs RV Park, Pocatello KOA Journey, and Indian Springs Resort and RV cover the full-hookup and family-resort end of the spectrum, while Willow Bay Recreation Area on American Falls Reservoir and Massacre Rocks State Park handle water-based and history-focused trips. Expect open sagebrush country, big skies, and easy pavement between stops. Cell coverage is workable near I-86 and thinner once the road climbs into Arbon Valley itself, so plan navigation and reservations before leaving town.

Idaho State Parks uses a single central reservation system operated by the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation. Campsite reservations can be made up to nine months in advance, online through the official Idaho State Parks reservations portal or by phone at 1-888-922-6743. Cabins and yurts can typically be booked up to twelve months out. Popular summer weekends at Massacre Rocks are commonly claimed months out, so book early for June through August. Pocatello KOA Journey books through the KOA site or app. Batiste Springs RV Park and Indian Springs Resort and RV take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Willow Bay Recreation Area is managed locally on Bureau of Reclamation land, so call ahead to confirm current availability and any first-come, first-served status.
