Campgrounds and RV parks near Brimfield, IL

Brimfield sits in Peoria County in west-central Illinois, just off U.S. Route 150 and roughly 20 minutes west of Peoria. The village serves as the closest town to Jubilee College State Park, a 3,200-acre facility located between Kickapoo and Brimfield, which anchors the local RV camping scene. The park's rolling topography, oak-hickory woods, and Jubilee Creek corridor give central Illinois travelers a genuine forest setting without a long drive. RV travelers typically choose between state-run campgrounds inside Jubilee College State Park and Sand Ridge State Forest, or a private resort along the Illinois River. Woodchuck Ridge - Jubilee College State Park serves travelers who want electric sites and shower facilities close to Peoria. Sand Ridge State Forest, southeast of Brimfield near Forest City, is a more rustic option with primitive sites tucked into pine plantations and sand prairie. Sankoty Lakes and Cabin Fever Campground and Hunt Club round out the local mix, offering private-park amenities and easy access to fishing, trails, and the Illinois River Valley.

Illinois state-park and state-forest campsites are reserved through the state's official system. Reservations for Jubilee College State Park can be made at ExploreMoreIL. At Sand Ridge State Forest, Oak Campground and Horseman's Park shelters and campsites are also rented through ExploreMoreIL; if a site is unavailable for the desired date, the forest office can be reached at 309-597-2212 or by email. Permits at Jubilee College are required and can be obtained from site staff or the campground host. Equestrian sites at Jubilee are handled differently: they are not reservable, and a campground host at the front of the campground registers arrivals, or it is self-pay during winter months. Book summer holiday weekends well in advance. Private resorts such as Sankoty Lakes take reservations directly through their website.
