Campgrounds and RV parks near Cicero, IN

Cicero sits on the north shore of Morse Reservoir in Hamilton County, about 20 miles north of downtown Indianapolis. The town gives RV travelers access to a 1,500-acre reservoir with roughly 35 miles of shoreline, plus the White River corridor a short drive east. Homes occupy about 95 percent of the reservoir shoreline, so overnight camping happens at parks a few minutes inland rather than lakeside. Riverbend Campground sits along the White River off State Road 37 between Noblesville and Cicero and draws RV travelers heading to Morse or to Indianapolis events. Glo Wood Campground, Mystic Waters Outdoor Escape & Family Campground, and Mystic Waters Campground add more options within easy reach. For travelers combining lake time with big-city attractions, the Indiana State Fairgrounds Campground in Indianapolis offers full hookups on the fairgrounds property and works well as a base for the State Fair, race weekends, and concerts across the metro.

Private campgrounds in the area, including Riverbend Campground, Glo Wood Campground, Mystic Waters Outdoor Escape & Family Campground, and Mystic Waters Campground, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone rather than through a central portal. Hamilton County Parks handles reservations for county-run sites through its parks and recreation department. The Indiana State Fairgrounds Campground accepts reservations year-round and requires a reservation before arrival. Full hookups are available April through October, weather permitting, and electric-only sites are offered November through March with the dump station closed. Race-weekend and State Fair blocks sell out quickly once they open. For summer weekends, book six to eight weeks ahead. For Indy 500 weekend, reserve as early as possible. Confirm rig-length limits and hookup type when booking.
