Campgrounds and RV parks near Goshen, IN

Goshen sits in Elkhart County in northern Indiana, at the heart of the region marketed as Amish Country and long known as the RV Capital of the World. Campgrounds cluster along the Little Elkhart and Elkhart rivers, around the county's inland lakes, and near Middlebury and Shipshewana to the north. The terrain is flat to gently rolling farmland, which makes for easy driving and level sites for larger rigs. Most RV renters base themselves at private, family-oriented parks rather than public land, since Indiana's state park campgrounds sit farther from Goshen than the closest private options. Eby's Pines RV Park and Campground has been family owned and operated since 1968 and is one of the largest properties in the area, with roughly 300 sites along the Little Elkhart River offering 20/30/50-amp service and full-hookup pull-through options for larger rigs. Elkhart Campground, Elkhart Co/Middlebury KOA Holiday, Willow Shores Campground, and Patona Bay Resort round out the closest options. The Toll Road (I-80/90) runs just north of Goshen, so access from Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Cleveland is straightforward for renters picking up an RV in a nearby metro.

All five of the closest campgrounds are private and take reservations directly. The Elkhart Co/Middlebury KOA Holiday accepts online reservations through the KOA site and by phone. Eby's Pines RV Park and Campground, Elkhart Campground, Willow Shores Campground, and Patona Bay Resort each handle bookings through their own websites or by phone rather than through a shared portal. Deposits and cancellation windows vary by park, so read the specific policy before finalizing. For summer weekends, holiday weeks, and Shipshewana market days, book at least four to eight weeks out. Lakefront sites and full-hookup pull-throughs go first, so flexibility on site type helps.
