Campgrounds and RV parks near Granger, IN

Granger sits in northern Indiana just east of South Bend, minutes from the Michigan state line and about 20 miles from Lake Michigan's shore. South Bend is under the climatic influence of Lake Michigan with its nearest shore 20 miles to the northwest, and the lake has a moderating effect on the temperature, so cold waves are less severe than at many locations at the same latitude. That location puts RV travelers within an easy drive of the University of Notre Dame, the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, and Amish country to the east. Elkhart RV Resort is the closest full-service option, with spacious RV sites with 30/50-amp service, pull-through access, a pool, playground, and on-site dining. A few miles north across the Michigan line, Spaulding Lake Campground offers a quieter setting. It has over 120 full hookup sites with fishing and swimming ponds, a playground, a basketball court, and free Wi-Fi, and is the closest RV park to the University of Notre Dame. East of town, Elkhart Campground is a larger seasonal park on 25 acres. Willow Shores Campground sits in Union, Michigan near the RV Museum, and Mustang Sally's Park south of the airport rounds out the local list with a more rustic, tent-oriented profile.

For private parks, book directly with the operator. Elkhart RV Resort asks guests to call to adjust a stay, and text or email changes cannot be accepted. For cancellations of site reservations, Elkhart Campground asks that guests call at least 72 hours before the reservation date for a full refund. Willow Shores, Spaulding Lake, and Mustang Sally's Park each handle reservations through their own websites or by phone, so check the operator directly. For Potato Creek State Park, use the Indiana DNR Central Reservation System. Reservations must be made 2 days ahead of arrival and can be made up to 12 months in advance. Winter camping operates on a walk-in basis without advance reservations. Summer weekends at Potato Creek book up early; reserve as soon as the window opens for holiday weekends.
