Ossian sits in Wells County in northeast Indiana, roughly 20 minutes south of Fort Wayne and a short drive from Bluffton. The closest full-hookup option is Bluffton / Fort Wayne South KOA Journey, a wooded park in Bluffton with more than 100 full-service RV sites, five cabins, tent sites, a heated seasonal pool, a dog park, and planned activities. For state-park camping, Ouabache State Park sits just east of Bluffton with 132 sites, 122 of them electric, a paved bike trail into town, a 100-foot fire tower, and a live bison exhibit. Camp Timber Lake and Blue Lake Resort Campground round out the private options nearby. West of Ossian, Kil-So-Quah State Recreation Area on J. Edward Roush Lake historically offered lakeside camping, but the Indiana DNR announced the campground will close indefinitely, so travelers should confirm current status before planning around it.

Indiana state park sites at Ouabache are reserved through the Indiana DNR reservation system online or by phone. Reservations are available up to six months in advance, which is the window to target for summer holiday weekends, and the campground rents remaining sites first-come, first-served on the day of arrival. Bluffton / Fort Wayne South KOA Journey is booked directly through KOA, on its website or by phone. Cancellation windows differ for short-term RV or tent stays versus cabin or long-term stays, so review the terms at booking. Kil-So-Quah State Recreation Area is scheduled to close indefinitely per an Indiana DNR announcement, so travelers should not plan around it and should confirm status with the property office before travel. For private parks like Camp Timber Lake and Blue Lake Resort Campground, contact the campground directly to confirm rig-length limits, hookup type, and seasonal opening dates before travel.
