Campgrounds and RV parks near Windfall City, IN

Windfall City sits in Tipton County in central Indiana, roughly an hour north of Indianapolis and within driving range of the Wabash River corridor and the Upper Wabash reservoir system. The surrounding landscape is flat farmland cut by small rivers and creeks, so RV campgrounds in the area tend to be private lakeside parks, quiet rural retreats, and larger reservoir-based state recreation areas rather than mountain or wilderness sites. Options close to town include Hidden Lake Campground, Riverbend Campground, White Oaks Mobile Home Park, and Spring Hill Campground, which cover a mix of short-stay RV sites and longer-term seasonal setups. For a bigger public-land experience, Miami State Recreation Area Mississinewa Lake sits on one of the three Upper Wabash flood-control reservoirs and features a 400-plus-site campground with family cabins. Most trips here are family-oriented: fishing, swimming, biking on rural roads, and short drives to Kokomo, Peru, and Indianapolis attractions. RV travelers generally find level pads, electric hookups, and dump stations at the developed parks.

Public sites at Mississinewa Lake are reserved through the Indiana DNR reservation system on ReserveAmerica. Reservations can be made a maximum of 6 months prior to arrival date, until 2pm eastern time on arrival date. Booking early is advisable for summer weekends and holidays, and some first-come, first-served sites may also be available. Private campgrounds such as Hidden Lake Campground, Riverbend Campground, and Spring Hill Campground typically take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. White Oaks Mobile Home Park is oriented toward longer-term stays, so call ahead to confirm transient RV availability. Key rules to note at the state property: a single site can be reserved for a maximum of 14 consecutive nights, and the camper must vacate for 48 hours before returning with a new reservation. The minimum age to rent a campsite is 18.
