Campgrounds and RV parks near Attica, KS

Attica is a small city in Harper County in south-central Kansas, roughly twelve miles west of Anthony and a short drive from the Oklahoma state line. The surrounding landscape is open agricultural country with wheat fields, cattle range, and scattered creek bottoms, and the region is served by a mix of small private RV parks and public lake campgrounds rather than large resort destinations. RV travelers typically stage out of nearby parks such as Highway Homestead RV Park and Rox Landing RV Park for sites with hookups, while Anthony Lake Campground offers a public lakeside option beside the 153-acre Anthony Municipal Lake. Kingman KS RV Park and Champion Ridge Inn and Country RV Park sit farther east along the U.S. 54 corridor and work well for travelers routing between Wichita and the Oklahoma Panhandle. The area suits families looking for quiet fishing, wildlife viewing, and easy highway access rather than developed resort amenities. Expect wide horizons, dark night skies, and small-town main streets.

Private RV parks in the area, including Highway Homestead RV Park, Rox Landing RV Park, Kingman KS RV Park, and Champion Ridge Inn and Country RV Park, are generally booked directly with the operator by phone or website. Sites are limited at each park, so calling ahead is recommended during harvest season, hunting season, and summer holiday weekends. Anthony Lake Campground is a city-managed facility, and camping sites may be reserved through the Anthony city office except during holiday periods, which follow separate rules. Kingman State Fishing Lake, run by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, is all primitive and first-come, first-served, with a seven-day maximum stay followed by a required five-day absence before returning. Two state-lake fee cabins at Kingman are reservable year-round through the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
