Campgrounds and RV parks near Bridge City, LA

Bridge City sits on the West Bank of the Mississippi River in Jefferson Parish, directly across the river from New Orleans. RV travelers use it as a quiet base within a short drive of the French Quarter, Uptown, and the Westbank Expressway, without paying downtown parking rates or navigating narrow city streets in a large rig. The closest full-service option is Bayou Segnette State Park, roughly a fifteen-minute drive across the Mississippi River from New Orleans, with boating, fishing, camping, canoeing, hiking, picnicking, playgrounds, and access to swamp and marsh ecosystems. In-town alternatives such as French Quarter RV Resort and New Orleans RV Resort and Marina put travelers within walking or short-drive distance of the city, while New Orleans KOA Holiday and Riverboat Travel Park sit on the metro fringes with easier big-rig access. Most sites in the area stay open year-round, but demand swings hard around Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, and holiday weekends, when nearby parks fill weeks ahead.

Reservations at Bayou Segnette State Park can be made online, by phone, or as a walk-in through the Louisiana State Parks reservation system operated by ReserveAmerica. A non-refundable transaction fee applies to each reservation, and cancellation fees increase within fourteen days of arrival. Private parks near New Orleans, including French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans KOA Holiday, New Orleans RV Resort and Marina, and Riverboat Travel Park, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. For festival dates and holiday weekends, book several months out and confirm rig-length limits before arrival. Bayou Segnette State Park has a maximum stay of fourteen consecutive nights, so plan longer trips across multiple properties.
