Camping near Clarks, Louisiana
Clarks is a small village in Caldwell Parish in north-central Louisiana, sitting on U.S. Route 165 southwest of Columbia and roughly 45 minutes south of Monroe. The village lies in the pineland hill country west of the Ouachita River, which shapes most of the region's outdoor recreation.
RV travelers use Clarks as a quiet base for exploring Caldwell Parish's rivers, lakes, and wildlife areas. Nearby options include Flynn's Camping Grounds and, a drive north, Jimmie Davis State Park on Caney Lake, plus Ouachita RV Park along Interstate 20 in Monroe for full-hookup stopovers. Pavilion RV Park and Ouachita Sportsplex round out the local choices for travelers who want easy highway access.
The area suits families and anglers more than sightseers. Expect rural two-lane roads, forested hills, and small towns rather than major attractions, with Monroe providing the closest full-service shopping, fuel, and dump stations for larger rigs.
